Sixties fashion on the third day of #LFW

The Sixties are taking the catwalks by surprise for the last couple of seasons, with bold colours, A-shapes, geometrical lines, as well as earthy tones and a lot of retro inspiring looks. The likes of Roberto Cavalli, Chanel, Emilio Pucci, Cardin, Burberry and Moschino have dwelt into this exciting trend. A mix of styles, from colour to drab, fashion forward or laid-back, tailored or relaxed, the overall vibe is fresh and the status quo of dedicated fashionistas. With leg revealing lengths, hyper tailored designs and structural cuts, the Sixties are a must for the crowd. Designers are all jumping on this fashion trend, as well as the high street, where I’ve done my shopping for the third look of London Fashion Week.

One of the most popular style of the Sixties is the mini skirt, portraying the growing woman’s movement and individuality. I believe a Sixties statement skirt should follow all the elements in the book: colour blocking, chunky zip and oversized pockets. The River Island skirt checks all the boxes and completed with a simple roll neck top and black mirror ankle boots, we have a winning ticket for the most retro inspired look of the day. Simple, but sufficient, this outfit was among my favorite of the ones I wore to #LFW, because it was both feminine, in trend, and relaxed at the same time. The weather in London is not reliable, so carrying my Muubaa jacket available at BrandAlley, was an wise idea.  What would you wear for a Sixties inspired look?
