Seventies meet boho in Brighton

on
September 17, 2015

At the beginning, probably five years ago, when the boho style took with aplomb the high street infused with Seventies influences, I wasn’t really impressed. All the loose skirts, way too many colourful details, many layers thrown on top of each other, were too much for my minimalist style at the time. But, as with many things, I got adjusted to the relaxed and fun take in fashion. This, and the fact that all the shops were exploding with boho options. Since now the big designers, such as Chanel, Valentino, Prada, and many more, are dwelling in the Seventies air, I am convinced more and more that this trend is here to stay. I am just praying that the 80s won’t come back, because who needs padded shoulders and crazy hair?

The outfit I am wearing is a reminiscence of a hippy look toned down, to suit my personality. Simple, but romantic, the traditional off the shoulders dress I found at Primark was a match made in heaven with a sturdy A-line mini denim skirt. Now, let’s take a minute and admire these gold leather lace up sandals, from Primark again. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw them, so pretty and fabulous! I had so many people asking me about them on the street, a sign I made a good and wise choice when purchasing them. Shot in Brighton at sunset, this  photoshoot is one of my favorites, calm and serene! I hope you like it!
