A stay at the Ned with TRESemme

One of the best hotels in London has opened its doors after a fantastic transformation. The 11-storey building has many original features, from the 92 African verdite columns in the former banking hall, to old safety deposit signage in the main stairwell. When entering the Ned, the grand banking hall transformed into a jazzed-up food court-esque space, astonishes any tastes, with up to eight restaurants. A lot of interesting things are taking place all the time in the central hall, such as jazz performances. One of the best features I loved about the hotel was the Vault Room located two floors underground, opened to Ned’s Club members as well. It serves as a lavish bar serving cocktails and cicchetti, heavy with jewel-toned velvet furnishings, patterned rugs, taxidermy birds and a ribbed walnut bar.

The eighth-floor rooftop is home to a 10-metre lap pool lined with Italian marble. Views stretch from St Paul’s Cathedral to the Gherkin. The place includes a subterranean spa, complete with 20-metre lap pool in a former vault and a hammam with pink marble sourced from Devon; a gym with boxing ring; and outposts of Cheeky nail bar and Neville barbershop. I mean, is there anything the hotel doesn’t offer to its guests?

I had the amazing pleasure to stay at the Ned for a night with the TRESemme team last month. It was memorable; the location, the hair, the food, everything was perfect. TRESemme has launched a new keratin smooth color range, destined to give vibrancy and shine at every wash, and Lord knows, my bleached hair needs a lot of TLC.

The UK’s most popular hair care brand introduced the Keratin Smooth Color System consisting of a shampoo, conditioner, and serum to protect both the depth and bounce of coloured hair, whilst smoothing out unwanted frizz. Aaron Carlo, TRESemme UK hair ambassador worked his magic and styled my hair so quick, looking like out of a magazine. I have a hard time trusting anyone when doing beachy waves, but Aaron had an incredible technique I still have to master in this lifetime. Most probably I’ll end up hiring him for this job, but would he leave Little Mix for me? This is the question;)

The entire team was so friendly and professional at the same time, from little surprises in our rooms to an incredible private dinner served in such a synchronized way (I really felt like I was attending a former supper in Downton Abbey), and to messages under our plates from our loved ones with reasons of how we #WorkIt everyday.

The rooms at the Ned span 12 categories, reference to the Twenties, Thirties and the golden age of travel and feature a combination of antique pieces and Soho House group’s own furniture line. I couldn’t have had a more welcoming stay, a great nigh sleep after so many months deprived of such a basic need, and a morning crowned with an amazing massage in the vault room, followed by one of the most delicious breakfasts (that avocado on toast was divine). I shall schedule my meetings at the Ned for now on, the lobby is so beautiful not to be exploited and the restaurants are simply pieces of art. Thank you TRESemme for taking us to one of the best hotels in London, and for showing us how easy it is to style your own hair when you treat it right!
