The kimono love affair in Brighton

on

I was a bit reluctant when kimonos found their way back on the catwalk this spring/summer. Often seen as a nightwear piece, with Japanese influences, the satiny cover up saw an increase in popularity due to designers such as Celine, Gucci, Carven, Rochas, Matthew Williamson, enhancing the style with new elements, sophistication and flair. Pairing the kimono is an art, starting with an ultra strong powerful look, or playing with a more laid back denim style. I have opted for the latter, while in Brighton.

A holiday look shouldn’t always be about a t-shirt randomly picked, matched with a pair of shorts and flip-flops. Femininity is so much more, and if you want to return to basics, while keeping the entire look fresh, young, casual but trendy, why not choose a floral kimono from Little Mistress, they really have a great selection! Pair the piece with a buttoned down denim skirt for a day look, perfect for strolling around the beach, in sunny Brighton.
