How to style a dress three ways

on
September 29, 2015

Fashionistas are developing a bad habit with so many options of what the high street and designer brands have to offer. Wearing the same thing twice is mainstream in so many circles of influencers, that it is common for bloggers to do daily makeovers to their wardrobe and sell their clothes even after one wear. Fashion e-tailer Kaleidoscope has launched an exciting new AW15 advertising campaign highlighting that it is “all in the detail” with regard to what makes an perfects an outfit, one of Kaleidoscope’s key brand values. From bright and bold coats to standout embellished dresses, Kaleidoscope’s Autumn/Winter 15 offering will appeal to all women who appreciate the detail in design and want to be noticed for their style choices.

One of the staple investment pieces that will see your wardrobe through seasons to come is this beautiful red lace dress which Kaleidoscope challenged me to style three ways. I was a bit in despair, firstly because this is a really elegant dress, and secondly, wearing the same dress three times, on the same day, nonetheless, is a hard job. Since nothing can take me down, not in the fashion department, I accepted the challenge. I hope these three styles will inspire you to incorporate unique, on-trend pieces into your wardrobe and day to day looks.DSC_6427[dropcap style=””]1[/dropcap]The first look is an interpretation of a modern woman taking a break from all the tasks and missions she has to accomplish, and unwinds with her best friends over a hot pot of tea, or admiring the Cambridge architecture and brilliant minds passing by. No one said you have to speed in the city with trainers and jeans. You can still look stylish and on holiday, while wearing a perfectly red lace dress and an oversized jumper with ankle boots, just to minimize the elegant effect, but looking posh and preppy just in case an business opportunity might appear. The modern woman is always alert, no matter what.

It might be the coffee, or it might be the fiery red in her dress, the conclusion is she draws her stamina from everything that surrounds her and she’s proud of it. Enhancing the office look with a wide belt and a midi heel strap heels, will toughen up the sweetness of the lace dress. The tote bag from Paul’s Boutique, available next month, is the perfect addition to the ensemble, empowering the woman that wants it all.

The red dress is the emblem of a romantic but daring attitude, so Kaleidoscope really did us a favour with this brilliant item to have and to hold in our wardrobes. Because England gets quite chilly at night this time of year (and anytime I might add), Little Mistress has launched their AW15 collection, and I am really thrilled to wear some of their key pieces, such as this beautiful black faux fur collared coat that I already envision wearing it all autumn. The brand is also stepping up its game with the new shoes collection. Let’s take a moment and admire these amazingly high heeled Chloe Lewis black lace ankle boots. They are indeed quite high, but look precious on, complimenting the knee length dress to perfection. With the right accessories, such as the Coach clutch available at BrandAlley, all women should feel exquisite! I hope you enjoyed my journey in Cambridge, styling the Kaleidoscope dress. I am looking forward to hearing your favorite look!
