Cold season essentials

It seems we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the summer when all of a sudden winter is back. At least in this beautiful mountain town of Transilvania. There is something magical after a cold rain when the mist rises above the forests, and you feel the need to cover yourself with cosy knits, while admiring the stillness of your travels. Talking about the cold season, every winter I renew my collection of coats, knits and boots. Living in London means we get 9 months out of 12 of rain, cold, grey sky and moody weather in general. If a Londoner doesn’t master the art of layering, then I don’t know who can!

I am starting my inspiring board this season with one of the most versatile coats in my wardrobe: the Boden reversible wrap coat made of wool blend. What I love the most about it, is the unpredictable double-faced reversible double-faced feature, so you can choose whichever style takes your fancy each day. The belted waist, knee length cut and feminine wrap-around shape make it both comfortable and flattering too. I’ve been wearing it a lot these days, dressed up or down, it really goes with anything! dsc_2677 dsc_2741We can’t talk fashion without the latest trends in accessories. My new Guess Willow watch is simply adorable! The bracelet-style model with floral sequin dial matches a casual, yet feminine, sophisticated look. The sophisticated piece makes a bold statement complete with shimmering crystals, a sequin floral-print dial and self-adjustable mesh bracelet. It makes a perfect Christmas present as well!

dsc_2699Talking about accessories, I’ve been dreaming about this Radley Herbarium backpack ever since I’ve seen it at their press day, back in March. Mother Nature never looked so beautiful. The new autumnal print celebrates this forgotten Victorian pastime: inspired by a trip to London’s Stafford Terrace, the brand discovered these exceptional Herbarium collections and reimagined them in leather.

The Herbarium medium zip-top backpack makes a beautiful and functional addition to any wardrobe. Crafted from textured leather, this standout style from the latest collection features a screen-printed botanical design, meaning each bag is very slightly different and therefore one of a kind. This compact backpack features a double zip fastening with layered leather zip pull tabs, each topped with a gold-coloured metal stud. The front of the bag has a striking design detail in the shape of a handy envelope-style front pocket, securing with a popper and lined in grosgrain. The finishing touch comes from a metal and leather plaque, foil embossed with the Radley London branding, and a metal disc charm on one side, embossed with the iconic dog logo.

I’ve been living out of this backpack, it fits everything I need, even my baby’s bottle! Also, it looks gorgeous, since everyone keeps asking me where I got it from. The entire collection is beautiful, you have to check it out!
