Barcelo Teguise Beach, Lanzarote – travel review

on
October 6, 2019

This summer we’ve travelled to Lanzarote on a press trip, reviewing lots of interesting products. This post is not about them, but about the hotel we’ve stayed at. Barcelo Teguise Beach is an adults only hotel with a youthful vibe, completely modern and set in an unparalleled location on the seafront of Costa Teguise, one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Lanzarote, just 150 metres from Las Cucharas beach.

What I love about this hotel is the hot tubs feature in most of the 305 rooms. Either inside the room or on the terrace, imagine yourself admiring sunset from the hot tub sipping from a glass of champaign. All the rooms are decorated with modern furniture inspired by the local architecture.

There are lots of innovative and modern bars and restaurants inside the hotel, such as B-Lounge Cocktail Bar, Breeze (Gastro Pool Bar), Champs Sports Bar and Atlantic Buffet. The food here at the buffet is great, every evening you can choose from so many cuisines, starting with Spanish to Asian, always fresh and deliciously cooked.

You can either relax by the 2 infinity pools, or workout in the well equipped fitness studio, even book a spa treatment at the fantastic Wellness Centre. The beach is just a short walk and it is a fabulous way to spend your day swimming or playing sand sports.

In terms of wearing, I brought lots of swimwear from Figleaves, Seafolly and Ted Baker, which I linked down below. I couldn’t find the exact ones I was wearing, but I have chosen similar ones. These brands have always been my go-to for feeling fabulous after giving birth. As you can see, I am wearing one pieces because they give me the body confidence I need.

I didn’t bring lots of accessories, but my two Amerii bags I fell in love over the summer. They are rattan bags handmade in Bali, blending modern trends with old traditions. These bags are so beautifully made using traditional techniques and genuine materials, so different than everything you’ve seen anywhere else.

For evenings I went with a couple of dresses adequate for dinner at the hotel restaurants. This red dress from Chi-Chi London is a staple and a must have for any occasions. My second dress is actually a Seafolly cover dress, which accessorised the right way can definitely be worn outside the beach.

I would gladly return to Barcelo Teguise Beach on this beautiful volcanic island. A great location for beach and restaurants, with such a welcoming staff, modern facilities and stunning food.
