It’s that time of year again, my favourite and everyone else’s for that matter. Christmas is near and London has dressed up with glitter, sparkle and joyful colours, all announcing the best holiday that ever existed. It is better than your birthday, and you know why? Because you get to give, not only receive. And I’ve learned that the more you involve yourself into getting the perfect gift for your loved ones, the better you will feel when genuine smiles come your way. But finding the right present is tricky, so luckily, I have just prepared an Youtube video sharing my recommendations.
We’re starting on a budget with two products from Dirty Works: Lip Balm Tin (£4) and Bath Indulgence (£6), on sale right now. Soft and smooth Lip Balms to add moisture and shine to your lips in four mouth-watering, tasty flavours: Strawberry, Coconut, Watermelon and Cherry… they’ll make your lips taste and feel great! Another nice present is the Bath Indulgence for good clean fun! The next gift idea comes from Radical Skincare (£28) and it is a beautiful cracker including essentials for Christmas! Mine had Face serum, Anti-Age cream, Cream for the contour of your eyes, and 3 exfoliating pads.
Anne Semonin is my favourite skincare brand and you’ve read about it on my website before. If you have a higher budget I am recommending getting a Christmas Coffret (£127); The one I have in the video includes two complexion firming oils and the cult anti-age eye cream. Presented in a branded gift box, it will make a delightful gift for someone special this Christmas.
Next comes an amazing haircare brand I truly love, which has prepared beautiful gift boxes for the Holidays. Davines has been a constant presence in my haircare routine for a year now and I am so happy I have discovered this brand. Their products are original, authentic, and work wonders for the most stubborn issues you might have with your hair. The Nounou kit (£55) for brittle and processed hair includes a shampoo, conditioner and the OI milk which gives your hair all manner of benefits including expert shine, silkiness and softness.
I’ve always thought using a perfume for a decade means it is my lifelong fragrance, that is until I found out about ROADS. It opened my vision for a whole new world I never thought I can imagine. ROADS is a contemporary and highly creative lifestyle brand based in Dublin, Ireland. the name is a metaphor for the many choices and decisions we are faced with every day and it celebrates the individual in every sense. I couldn’t find online the gift box I have in the video, but you can purchase single fragrances (£80) . No Christmas without candles, Yankee Candles to be more precise. I’ve used so many candles in the past, looking for the best fragrance, zero smoke and longlasting, and I finally found this brand. They have so many scents, you need an entire life to go through all of them. For Christmas they have launched a beautiful festive cracker with 5 votives, including Cinnamon Stick, Candy Cane Lane, Christmas Garland, Christmas Eve and Christmas Cookie. You can also get a big jar of Cosy by the Fire (£20) or other Christmasy scents, add a sparkly shade (£16) in the mix and you’ve got yourself a beautiful present. You might want to buy two, I am sure you’d want to keep one for yourself.
Next, one of my favourite makeup brand, Benefit, is a tremendous source of gifting ideas. You can get a beautiful eyeshadow palette to a makeup fanatic and she will be forever grateful. The World Famous Neutrals (£21) includes six bestseller creaseless eyeshadow creams and powders. The second palette I am recommending is for the highlighter enthusiasts: Do the Bright Thing (£26). These luminous bestsellers will give your face and cheeks a supermodel glow…and open your eyes with glamorous definition.
Last, but not least, the 24 Nail Polish Christmas Advent (£15) from Accessorize features classic colours and seasonal favourites with super gloss, metallic, glitter, chromatic, frost and pearl finishes, these lust-worthy lacquers will keep your nails tip-top right through the Christmas period.
